Smart Technology (BD) Ltd Becomes Official Distributor of Sony Corporation
Atsushi Endo, President, Regional Market Development Company of Sony South-East Asia made the announcement at a press conference organised by Sony Corporation, Tokyo, Japan at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel, said a media release on Friday. According to the release, Sony Corporation is one of the largest manufacturers of the world's best television technology, consumer and professional electronics products. This is the leading video game and console manufacturer company in the world. As well as Sony Corporation is the top media and technology-based company in Japan.
Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun was the chief guest at the press conference.
He said, “This joint business partnership between Sony and Smart Technology in Bangladesh is an appropriate and timely decision to upgrade the technical and consumer electronics marketing and services in Bangladesh. I believe that Japanese entrepreneurs are coming to this country, trusting their services and relying on their marketing policy and commitment. “
Smart Technology (BD) Ltd. will go further, Sony Corporation will make Smart Technology (BD) Ltd. more dynamic that will take the country ahead by setting up Sony's manufacturing plant in Bangladesh; Bangladesh will be our proud nation, globally.”
As special guest, Posts and Telecommunications Minister Mustafa Jabbar said, “The role of Smart Technology is very important in Bangladesh by realising the dream of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to build a digital Bangladesh. On behalf of the Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, I heartily congratulate Sony Corporation and Smart Technology (BD) Ltd. on this initiative.”
